WWE News: ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin Says He’ll Be At WrestleMania 32, Will He Wrestle One More Match?

WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin has been a bit of a unique story lately. At one point, we heard that there was a falling out between Austin and WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon. It was uncertain what caused the issue or even if the rumor on the two having problems happened to be real. However, Austin did miss WrestleMania 31 and the WWE Hall of Fame for the first time in years.

Scheduling has never been an issue for Austin before when it came to WrestleMania time. So, the excuse on him missing time seemed a bit off. Many have wondered what his relationship with Vince McMahon is, if any. The other question is, will he be at WrestleMania 32 due to it being so close to where he lives?

According to Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard website, Austin will be at WrestleMania 32. Stone Cold did an interview with the website where he spoke about a number of interesting things.

On WrestleMania, he said, “I would be pretty damn sure I’m going to be there. It’s my home state and it just makes more sense.”

When asked about McMahon, Austin claimed he had total respect for him. Keep in mind, since the rumors started on heat between Austin and McMahon, Austin has remained positive and has not put down Vince in any way publicly. For now, we have to assume that the two are okay. However, you never know.

Will Steve Austin wrestle one more match next year? It looks likely, especially since WrestleMania is going to happen in Dallas, Texas. Austin’s last match would certainly be a huge reason to tune into the show. Since Austin’s neck and overall health are in a good place….many are under the assumption that he will have a match at WrestleMania 32. Vince has expressed a desire to have him perform, which he has been trying to work out for some time. Now he may finally get his wish.

This also goes with the rumor that McMahon also wants Hulk Hogan and potentially Ric Flair to have a match on the show. We will have to see what comes of this, however.

The rumor going in is that WWE wants Austin to face off with Brock Lesnar for his Mania match. This match really never got to happen years ago when Austin was active. The history between the two works perfectly to set this up. As a result, one would imagine that if WWE can make it happen, they will do so.
