‘Dancing With The Stars’ Results Week 9: Who Leaves, Who Will Compete For Mirror Ball Trophy

Who is eliminated on Dancing with the Stars on Week 9? Tonight’s live elimination show is an important one, with one couple leaving, and the three couples advancing to next week’s finale.

On Monday night’s semifinals, four couples performed two dances each, all hoping to snag a spot on the Season 20 finale. Up for grabs next week is the 14-karat-gold-plated mirrorball trophy, a big paycheck, and bragging rights for being the season champion.

UPDATE: Nastia and Derek were eliminated, despite rumors that Noah and Sharna were going home. Headed to the finals next week are Noah, Riker, and Rumer.

Riker and Allison, and Nastia and Sasha (Derek) danced their way to the top of the leaderboard on Monday night, both earning a combined score of 70. It will shock most DWTS fans if either one of them is eliminated tonight, perhaps even more than the surprising Week 7 elimination of Willow and Mark.

Rumer and Val ended up in third place on the leaderboard with a total score of 68, but they are still strong contenders in the pursuit of the mirrorball trophy.

Scoring the lowest on Monday night’s semifinals was Noah Galloway, who received a combined total of 66. According to Buddy TV‘s John Kubicek, Noah should be going home tonight, but if he brings in enough votes, there’s a chance he may make it to the finale.

“With only 4 points separating first and last, it’s all about who has the biggest fan base. Tomorrow, either Noah goes home or someone who deserved to be in the finale gets eliminated because the judges abandoned their responsibilities this week and just gave everyone 9s and 10s. In the public vote, if Noah beats Rumer by 0.8 percent or if he beats Riker or Nastia by 1.5 percent, he’s in the finale.”

Even if Noah is eliminated on tonight’s live results show, he came out the big winner on Monday night’s semifinals. After he performed the Viennese Waltz with his partner, Sharna Burgess, he proposed to his girlfriend Jamie live on national TV. According to WetPaint, she said “heck yeah” to the proposal that left everyone — including judge Len Goodman — teary-eyed.

Here’s a look at the Week 9 leaderboard while fans wait to find out who is in jeopardy and who is safe tonight.

  • Riker and Allison: 70(40 Contemporary, 30 Judge’s Choice)
  • Nastia and Sasha/Derek: 70 (40 Quickstep, 30 Judge’s Choice)
  • Rumer and Val: 68 (38 Viennese Waltz, 30 Judge’s Choice)
  • Noah and Sharna: 66 (36 Viennese Waltz, 30 Judge’s Choice)
