‘RHONY’ Star Bethenny Frankel Is ‘Cranky’ As News Of Her Owing $100,000 Hits The Web

RHONY star Bethenny Frankel may not have released a statement regarding news of her $100,000 debt, but the Real Housewives star did share a telling message with fans online just hours after the shocking report hit the web.

“I’m a little cranky,” the RHONY star wrote on Twitter on May 11. “I miss my cookie & peanut weekend mother’s day snuggles.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the RHONY star was ordered to pay her soon-to-be ex-husband’s legal fees — and given a deadline of June 1. As Radar Online reported, Frankel has been forced to pay Jason Hoppy’s legal fees because he “lacks sufficient funds of his own to compensate counsel without depleting his assets.”

In court earlier this month, as Radar Online’s report revealed, the RHONY star has just over two weeks to pay her second installment of $100,000. The insider claimed Hoppy makes just over $100,000 per year, and can’t possibly pay for his own attorney’s fees at this point.

The RHONY star’s husband has reportedly paid over $300,000 to his former lawyers, and as of March of last year, still owes them nearly $90,000. That same month, Hoppy reportedly hired a set of new attorneys and paid a retainer of $50,000. By July of last year, just four months later, Hoppy’s attorney fees had reached a total of $221,962.65.

Also in the new court order for the RHONY star, Frankel will be forced to pay nearly $12,000 per month to Hoppy for “temporary maintenance,” and $3,000 per month in child support for 5-year-old Bryn. Frankel will pay an additional $11,000 per month for the couple’s New York City apartment, where Hoppy is currently living.

In the RHONY star’s latest book, as Radar Online revealed, Frankel opened up about the damage her divorce has done to her outlook on relationships.

“I still believe in love… That doesn’t mean I don’t sometimes get grouchy, b*tchy, unhappy or mean. I’m still recovering from my divorce, and I may not ever be quite the same. It’s a brutal experience and it injures you, even if you were the one who wanted it.”

Frankel and Hoppy tied the knot in 2010 and welcomed their daughter a short time later. Then, in 2012, the couple parted ways. Ever since, they have been locked in a messy court battle, which has cost them both.
