Jay-Z And Beyoncé Buy New Orleans Church: Will They Pray For Tidal?

Jay-Z and Beyoncé have bought a Presbyterian church in New Orleans. Entertainment Tonight broke the news.

“Beyonce and Jay Z have a new place to call their home in the Garden District of New Orleans, and it was once a place of worship. The power couple purchased the $2.6 million property under the name of Sugarcane Park LLC, which shares the same mailing address as Beyonce’s management company. The former Presbyterian church was built in 1925 and also served as a ballet school.”

This is one of the many properties the power couple owns. According to Entertainment Tonight, the church is 13,292 square feet and has three 1,000 square-foot apartments. The three-story church features 22 rooms in total. Perhaps they can turn it into a recording studio, or maybe even five of them.

Jay-Z needs all the churches he can get these days. His sinking ship business venture Tidal has become one of the biggest critical and financial disasters in the history of entertainment. Even Noah Gallagher from Oasis brutally savaged Tidal in an interview with Rolling Stone.

“I think ultimately, the spiel they came out with, it was like, ‘Do these people think they’re the f—ing Avengers?’ Gallagher said. ‘I was speaking to [Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin] the other day and I said, ‘Are you after the Nobel Peace Prize? Is that what you’re after?’ Because they were like, ‘We’re going to f—ing save the music business!’ And I’m just sitting there thinking, ‘You might want to write a decent chorus, for a f—ing start. Never find f—ing royalties.”

The Huffington Post recently reported that Jay-Z and Beyoncé were recording an album together and that they are about to release it on Tidal.

“It may be time to actually sign up for Tidal. The long-rumored Beyoncé and Jay Z joint album will reportedly be released exclusively on Tidal, according to DJ Skee. The host of Skee TV revealed last September that the couple was working on an album together. In his latest segment on Skee TV, the DJ reports that sources have told him the album is nearing completion.”

Commenters after the article weren’t having it with the Huffington Post’s spin. Many thought the joint album would be a huge mistake for both of their careers. Still, Jay-Z isn’t giving up on Tidal, as it has been rumored that Rihanna, who is experiencing career troubles of her own, may release her new upcoming album as an exclusive to Tidal. Let’s hope that the whole Tidal fiasco isn’t affecting Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s marriage.
