New PlayStation Games For The Week Of May 10, 2015
The diversity of gaming experiences on offer with the new PlayStation games for the week of May 10, 2015. The games on offer for the PlayStation platform this week include the standalone release of The Last of Us: Left Behind for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, the arcade classic Double Dragon, and a new adventure game from Brazilian indie developer Swordtails, Toren. When compared to the new PlayStation games the Inquisitr covered last week, this is a buffet of new content.
Arguably, the highest profile release of the week is the standalone version of The Last of Us: Left Behind, which tells the story of of Ellie and her complicated relationship with Riley. The story was first explored in a series of comics from Dark Horse entitled American Dreams, and then further expanded in the prequel, Left Behind, that originally debuted as DLC for the game proper. Now, PlayStation owners can experience a taste of the full game without the need of owning the actual The Last of Us title.
Those looking for something a little bright and cheerful will find it in the new PlayStation 4 game, Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD. This edition carries the 1080p visuals that were present in the PlayStation 3 edition, as well as the audio story that takes place after the events of Final Fantasy X-2. New additions for the PlayStation 4 edition include extra work on the background characters and monsters that had a noticeable lack of fidelity from the original PlayStation 3 port. Players who want to relive the original PlayStation 2 soundtrack can make the switch between the remastered soundtrack and the original, as well.
Other notable titles also on the PlayStation storefront of new games include Toren, the inaugural effort from Brazilian indie developer Swordtales, where the player find themselves as the main character, Moonchild, who is imprisoned in the Tower.
