Police in North Hollywood are investigating a report from Demi Moore of a burglary. According to TMZ, Rumer Willis’ mom’s storage unit, which contained expensive Haute Couture clothing, was reported burglarized. Demi’s pricey collection of gowns is estimated at about $200,000.
Authorities say the Ghost star’s assistant called police Monday after discovering a “gaping hole” in the collection. Moore, 52, has a penchant for collecting big-ticket fashionable dresses. The actress is typically snapped at events donning exquisite Couture attire. Sources described the missing personal property as “irreplaceable.”
Apparently, a worker employed by Demi Moore paid a visit to the storage unit and found “only empty space” in the enclosure where her dresses were being stored away. Reportedly, Demi has not appeared at the location for some six months.

According to police reports, the burglary shows no signs of forced entry; the lock was not compromised. Additionally, police do not have any surveillance footage which can assist in the investigation.
Demi first appeared on the red carpet in the ’80s. Then, she became an instant fashion barometer when she rose to stardom on the silver screen. She and then-boyfriend Bruce Willis, who she went on to marry, were often seen together at Hollywood events. The couple wed in 1987 and divorced in 2000.
The thrice-married Moore first wed rocker Freddie Moore (1985-1990). Her last marriage in 2005 to actor Ashton Kutcher ended in divorce in 2013. During her split from Kutcher, Demi was the subject of several controversial celebrity news headlines.
The mother of three — Rumer Willis, Tallulah Belle Willis, Scout LaRue Willis — allegedly struggled with substance abuse, had an alleged intervention with her daughters, and fought with Kutcher in a nasty divorce. Nowadays, Demi Moore is seen weekly supporting Rumer, a frontrunner contestant with Dancing with the Stars. Additionally, sources say her relationship with Ashton appears to be on the mend.

The actress recently placed a home up for sale on the real estate market. Demi and Bruce purchased a swanky Manhattan penthouse together in 1990. The historic residence, located in the San Remo apartment building in New York, boasts 7,000 square feet of living space. Moore is asking $75 million for the home. It’s unknown why Demi Moore didn’t keep her gown collection in the enormous space.
