Renée Zellweger Set To Wed, Prepping For Next ‘Bridget Jones’ Flick?

After being a subject of discussion due to her surprising facial feature alterations that make her almost unrecognizable to the Bridget Jones star we all know and love, Renée Zellweger is a hot topic due to her upcoming wedding to Doyle Bramhall.

This surprising news comes by way of a source close to the star. Bang Showbiz reports the source’s information about Zellweger’s beau.

“Renée and Doyle are crazy in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together. She’s told close friends to keep mid-August free. Renee was ecstatic about finding love again with an old friend. She knew Doyle’s a good, solid guy, and she easily imagined starting a family with him.”

Renee, who was married once already to country music star Kenny Chesney for a short four months, followed by an annulment in September of 2005, is reportedly planning a beach wedding in a small and intimate ceremony. A ceremony that the source states will be “very anti-Hollywood.”

Zellweger and Bramhall have been a duo since 2013. However, this doting couple’s history goes all the way back to the 90s when they met in their post secondary education days at the University of Texas in Austin. Renee has expressed her happiness of late after reuniting with her Austin sweetheart. Bang reports the 46-year-old star’s words.

“Isn’t he cute? He’s a very sweet man. I’m very, very happy right now. I’m great. I’m busy. I’m happy.”

Zellweger has managed to stay out of the spotlight recently due to having walked away from acting in 2010 for a time. Instead, the award-winning star has taken on the role of director and producer for a number of projects. Filmi Beat notes the benefit that this change has had on her life, noting that “a stint as a director and producer has done wonders for her stress levels and love life.”

Zellweger’s time away from being onscreen does not seem to be a permanent decision, however, seeing as she is soon to star in Same Kind of Different as Me with Djimon Hounsou, Greg Kinnear, and Jon Voight. In addition, there have been talks of yet another Bridget Jones flick, as Fanshare notes.

After almost a decade of on-an-off relationships and short romances, Renee has finally found what she’s been looking for in Bramhall, a notable blues musician who has worked with legends like Eric Clapton and Roger Waters and who also plays with his own band, Arc Angels.
