Jennifer Aniston Is So Fetch: Actress Might Star In ‘Mean Moms’

Will Jennifer Aniston finally make “fetch” happen?

The Friends star might find out that high school never ends by signing on for Mean Moms, the highly-anticipated spin-off of the 2004 movie Mean Girls. According to Deadline, Jennifer Aniston is interested in playing one of the mean moms in the new movie. It would see Aniston reunited with Sean Anders, the director who had her playing a sex-addicted bad girl in Horrible Bosses 2. Perhaps Aniston’s Mean Moms character will be less like Rachel Green and more like Regina George.

Based on the movie’s description, the female lead will be a lot like Cady Heron, Lindsay Lohan’s down-to-earth Mean Girls character.

“A happily married mother of two who moves from small-town America to the high–class suburbs suddenly must confront the cutthroat world of competitive parenting.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jennifer Aniston has confessed that she wants to have children someday. However, it sounds like starring in Mean Moms just might make the actress think twice about motherhood.

Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that any of the main Mean Girls stars will appear alongside Aniston in Mean Moms, and Tina Fey didn’t pen the screenplay for the spin-off — it was co-written by Anders and John Morris, the writing team behind Horrible Bosses 2 and We’re The Millers. However, fans of the original movie shouldn’t despair — Mean Girls and Mean Moms are both based on the works of author Rosalind Wiseman, so they’ll be similar in spirit.

Mean Girls introduced viewers to high school cliques that included the Plastics, the Sexually Active Band Geeks, the Girls Who Eat Their Feelings, and the Unfriendly Black Hotties. It will be interesting to see which clique Aniston will be a part of if she signs on for Mean Moms — will she join the Dance Moms, Tiger Moms, Cheer Moms, Soccer Moms, Helicopter Parents, Attachment Parenting Advocates, or Anti-vaxxers? There’s also a chance that she’ll be one of the Cool Moms like Amy Poehler’s Mean Girls character.

Perhaps Jennifer Aniston will start doing a little Mean Moms movie recruiting on May 21. According to the Wrap, she’s going to make an appearance on NBC’s live Red Nose Day special, a three-hour telethon aimed at raising money to fight poverty. Aniston will be starring alongside a few actresses who would make excellent mean moms: Julia Roberts, Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Leslie Mann, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Twitter also has a few ideas about who should star alongside Aniston. Back in March, the fake movie poster below was making the rounds on social media.

If Jennifer Aniston does sign on for the Mean Girls spin-off, what type of mom would you like to see her play?
