Britney Spears On That Fall, The ‘Pretty Girls’ Music Video And Her Las Vegas Residency

Britney Spears is not letting an onstage fall get to her. In fact, she’s already back on her feet since twisting her ankle in the middle of a performance at her Las Vegas residency. Britney wore a walking boot as she made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Spears, 33, matched her black walking boots with her black long sleeved cowl neck dress. She managed to laugh at herself as she watched herself fall down in the middle of a performance. Spears admitted to DeGeneres that the choreography wasn’t that hard and she was barely moving around on stage. The “Perfume” singer talked to the daytime host about her “embarrassing” onstage fall.

“I actually wasn’t doing anything that hard. I was just kind of bopping around, and I’ve done like eight years worth of shows, plenty of shows, and I’ve never actually fell onstage, so it was really kind of embarrassing.”

Although the performance wasn’t grueling, the pop princess managed to hurt herself. Britney revealed to Ellen that she had torn “some ligaments.”

“I fell down and then I got up and my dancers kind of guided me to keep going. I tore some ligaments.”

Although Spears announced that she won’t perform at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for the new few weeks, she did reveal some exciting news for fans.

“The show must go on, I’m extending the residency] for three months.”

But wait, there’s more! Ellen told Britney that she should probably give the audience tickets to her Piece of Me Show. The audience went wild over the news, according to People magazine. Britney’s show also recently won Best Show and Best Bachelorette Party thanks to her entertaining Las Vegas residency, which is a huge deal for the legendary pop star.

Spears told DeGeneres that she sees a lot of interesting sites when she visits Las Vegas. In fact, some of her fans go through great lengths to get the performer’s attention.

“[I see] a lot of wild things. Tattoos of my face on people’s arms, which is really kind of crazy. That’s intense when people do your whole face on the arm right? That’s a commitment.”

During an on-air interview with Ryan Seacrest, she said that she’s thinking of changing up now that the show has lasted so long.

“We’re going to change up the show and make things more fresh and interesting going forward.”

Britney also talked about her new “Pretty Girls” music video with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. Billboard noted that the pop songstress had a telephone interview with Z100 on Monday, May 4. Britney told the radio host that she’ll be showing off her signature dance moves in the video.

“This has been the first video I’ve done in a while where, you know, I came up with the concept and there’s a lot of dancing. I got new choreographers to come in and kind of do hip-hop dancing, which I haven’t done in a really long time, so the feel of the video is really different and high-energy. My dancers were there, my dancers from my show. There’s a club scene, there’s a car-wash scene, a couple of different other scenes. We had a lot of fun.”

As previously reported, Britney and Iggy’s new single hasn’t received enough love from their fans. Most fans slammed the song for having too much auto tune and not enough Iggy. Music critics have been generally positive about “Pretty Girls.” They believe that the song will become a summer smash.
