The retired neurosurgeon spoke out in April in regards to his feelings about judges who strike down state bans on gay marriage – that they should be removed.
According to On Top Magazine, Carson stated that Congress must exercise its “right to rein in judges who don’t abide by the will of the people.”

And by “people,” Carson is referring to those opposed to gay marriage.
Carson explained, “It’s a free country, people can do what they want to do, but they don’t get to change the definition of marriage, which is between one man and one woman. I’m concerned by the fact that we’re not paying attention to the Constitution the way we should…what we the people have got to do is insist that Congress carry out their duties.”
And while Carson may be concerned about how we interpret the Constitution, many are concerned about Carson’s beliefs and feelings about the LGBT community.
Carson defended himself and his beliefs as seen on Right Wing Watch, saying, “Some people think that I hate gay people, that I’m a homophobe; I’m not. Jesus Christ was not a homophobe. Jesus Christ loved everybody regardless of their lifestyle but he offered them other ways to do things.”
Despite his recent comments, Carson had promised over a month ago that he would not speak on LGBT issues after the controversial remarks he made on CNN.
According to On Top Magazine, Carson reportedly believes that being gay is a choice. And just how does he know that? Prison.
Carson explained, “Because a lot of people go into prison straight and when they come out they’re gay.”
So how do people feel about Carson’s comments?

While Dr. Ben Carson has angered many with his “ignorant” comments, it appears that this Republican candidate has enough supporters to make a run for the presidency.
