WWE News: WWE Superstar Kane To Be Pushed Soon At The Request Of Vince McMahon

As we saw last night on WWE RAW, it appears that Kane has taken over as the main Authority figure for a while. In fact, WWE has used this period of time to seriously push Kane a great deal. WWE even made a smart call by writing out Big Show for a bit, so that Kane’s authority cannot be challenged. That said, what made WWE go this direction? A few different reasons actually.

The first was Stephanie McMahon. She had to leave for a bit due to her Eisenhower Fellowship affiliation. She just got back from it, but still has a lot of other responsibilities. Meanwhile, Triple H has been working with NXT for a bit, so it makes things easier to have Kane work as a main authority figure. On top of this, according to Daily Wrestling News, Kane could be getting a push.

His push would not be the type that that leads to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. However, this authority run he is taking is set to lead somewhere big after a while. Coming out of last week’s WWE RAW taping, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon was seemingly uninterested in a Kane/Roman Reigns match that was originally being set up for WWE Payback. Instead, Vince wanted to focus on developing Kane’s character more.

This was why that match was nixed, Vince felt that Kane should be used in another way. That led to Roman Reigns being added to the WWE World Heavyweight Title picture with Randy Orton and Seth Rollins. Now, Dean Ambrose is taking part. This has actually had Kane’s fingerprints all over it storyline wise.

Vince could be feeling that Kane working as the top authority figure is helpful for now. That said, he has to make big changes to develop more on screen. For some time, Kane has been pretty much useless to The Authority. Now he actually has a bigger role, and it comes off as more of a face role. That is a good thing, as we’ve had a heel authority for some time. A fresh face authority member is heavily needed.

While Kane has not massively turned as of yet, that does appear to be where WWE is heading with this storyline. Whether or not Kane does “what’s best for business” at WWE Payback and beyond, for example, is yet to be determined. However, most expect his character to continue evolving. Where it leads right now is unknown, but most believe the big payoff will come around SummerSlam time.
