‘Gotham’ Spoilers, Renewal News: What Can Fans Expect As Season 1 Wraps?
The Season 1 finale of Gotham airs on Fox Monday night, and fans are counting the minutes until it begins. There’s a lot packed into this one from the sounds of things, and viewers are not going to want to miss a minute. What Gotham spoilers are available for the May 4 finale? Will the show return for Season 2?
TV Guide teases some tidbits about the episode titled “All Happy Families Are Alike.” Gotham spoilers note that Jim and Harvey will find themselves caught in the midst of the mob war involving Maroni and Faclone. Fish Mooney is back, and she’s angling to regain some control. It is said that she’ll pull in an unlikely ally, but it may not be enough.
It would appear that the Penguin is central to this episode, and he may well be key to the departure of Fish Mooney. As the Season 1 finale plays out, Gotham spoilers tease that there’s a major showdown involving Maroni, Falcone, Penguin, and Fish and not everybody will walk away unscathed.
Jada Pinkett Smith, who plays Fish Mooney, has already revealed that she will not be returning to the show after this episode. From the sounds of things, Fish may be killed in that brutal face-off. There have been a lot of teasers about how big this finale will be, and many wonder if it can really live up to the hype.
Additional Gotham spoilers from TVLine reveal that Bruce will come upon something stunning, seemingly about his parents. What he learns will shake him up and pave the way for major revelations. Based on the Fox preview for this episode, the last five minutes are not to be missed, and Bruce will find out about the Batcave.
In addition, Leslie deals with something frightening. Barbara and Leslie will have a talk, but it’s apparently an extremely tense one. Viewers will also see the Riddler pop up and fans will be left with a city that is more dangerous than it has ever been.
Luckily for fans, Fox has already confirmed that they have renewed rather than canceled Gotham for Season 2. The show will be back in the fall, and it seems this Season 1 finale definitely sets the stage.
The show’s Facebook page has some big teasers for fans, noting that this finale has a “surprise to end all surprises,” that it “all comes down to this” and it’s going to be the “beginning of the end” in Monday’s show. Expectations are very high with this episode, and viewers can’t wait to see if the cast and crew can deliver.
While it’s said that the Riddler will definitely be a part of this next season, he’s not exactly the main troublemaker. The Joker will be a big focus of the next season, though he isn’t a part of Monday’s finale.
