Jamie Foxx Slammed For National Anthem Performance At Mayweather-Pacquiao Fight [Video]

Jamie Foxx sang the National Anthem before the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday night, and he has been getting ripped online following his performance. According to Gossip Cop via MSN, thousands of people took to social media to criticize Foxx’s rendition of the song, which he made more gospel-hymn-like. He even added a healthy “hallelujah” at the end.

Jamie Foxx wasn’t given too much credit, but some think the criticism has been way too harsh. USA Today asks whether or not the song really was that bad. What do you think?

Foxx’s name was a trending topic on Twitter for hours after the performance. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, however, the hashtag “#leavejamiealone” was used to support the actor/singer.
