Austin Mahone Gets Into A Feud With Fifth Harmony Fans After Dissing Ex Camila Cabello
Austin Mahone is stirring up trouble Fifth Harmony fans. The singer recently confirmed the rumors that he’s dating Becky G while throwing some shade at ex-girlfriend Camila Cabello.
In an interview with MTV News, Mahone was asked if the dating rumors were true.
“Yeah, you could say we’re dating. We’re dating. It’s crazy, I never had, like, a real relationship before, so it’s pretty crazy. It’s great being in a relationship with someone that does the same thing you do. We understand each other, we understand what we do.”
Not only did Austin say he’s never had a “real relationship” before, but he also dissed his Fifth Harmony ex-girlfriend Camila Cabello about her music career. Some of the Harmonizers and Camila’s fans haven’t taken well to his response. In fact, they made the hashtag #CamilaDefenseSquad trend on YouTube, according to a Celebrity Dirty Laundry report. It also ended up trending on Twitter. You don’t want to mess around with these fans.
This news also comes a week after Becky G kind of confirmed the dating rumors during a Spanish interview at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. She was then asked if she was dating Austin Mahone. Based on a translation from an Instagram account, Becky said that that their relationship is for “real.”
Cabello did hit back at Mahone’s insensitive comments. She took to Twitter to write the following, “Damn…good to know.” Fans think that Cabello was talking about Mahone’s comments about not having a real relationship before Becky G came along.
Her relationship with Austin Mahone came under a lot of scrutiny from his fans. Camila was accused of using the Bieber replacement to promote Fifth Harmony’s new single, according to a report in the Franchise Herald. Austin hit back at the rumors, attacking Hollywood Life for writing slander and lies.
Cabello’s mom previously wrote on Twitter that Mahone was the Fifth Harmony singer’s “first love,” so his recent comments has got to hurt a little. She’s not letting his comments get to her though. Cabello has supported Becky G in the past when a Fifth Harmony fan had some rude words to say about the female rapper.
Harmonizers should feel good knowing that Camila Cabello will be totally fine. She’s known to share some sage advice on Twitter, according to a Bustle report. Besides, Camila is also Taylor Swift’s best friend, which means she can get some good advice from the singer who’s known for her public romances. It’s been rumored that Taylor is convincing Camila to leave Fifth Harmony to start her solo career.
