WWE News: Backstage Update On Stephanie McMahon’s WWE TV Status

The last time the WWE Universe saw Stephanie McMahon was at WrestleMania 31. On that day, she confronted the Rock and Ronda Rousey, the UFC’s Women’s Bantamweight champion. It was there that the rumors flew around about McMahon and Rousey in a match at next year’s WrestleMania 32 in Arlington, Texas.

As of right now, there’s nothing official on the two wrestling at WrestleMania 32. Stephanie McMahon said on Chris Jericho’s live podcast that she doesn’t know what will happen between her and Rousey. Whether McMahon was acting in kayfabe, or if she really doesn’t have a clue, the anticipation is growing for their inevitable encounter.

Since the WWE Universe hasn’t seen McMahon on WWE Raw or WWE Smackdown in quite some time, when will she be back on WWE television? According to Daily Wrestling News, Stephanie McMahon will continue to be an ambassador for WWE for the foreseeable future.

“Stephanie McMahon should be back on WWE TV tonight as she was back in the United States last week after returning from her trip to Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai with the Eisenhower Fellows Multi Nation Program. It looks like Stephanie will be taking more time off soon as she told Jericho last week that she’s going on another trip with the Eisenhower Fellows later this year.”

With McMahon going away for another hiatus soon, who will control the Authority? Triple H isn’t on WWE TV 24/7, and Kane is one step away from leaving the Authority. Seth Rollins and J&J Security are the only people left in the prestigious group. Is it logical to think that Seth Rollins won’t be in the Authority come SummerSlam?

That’s a very popular way of thinking due to Rollins’ consistent attitude towards Triple H in the past few episodes of WWE Raw. Nothing has given the WWE Universe a clue to think that the Authority will break up soon, but without Stephanie McMahon, the group takes a major hit.

There is still hope that Ronda Rousey and McMahon will wrestle in a WWE ring before it’s all said and done. WWE officials aren’t giving up on the idea, so McMahon will have to be back on WWE television months before they even book the match. Rousey isn’t doing anything at the moment, except for beating her opponents within the first minute of the first round. Come WrestleMania 32, if there was a time where these two dominant female should face off, it’s then.
