Councilman Excuses Himself To Use Restroom But Forgets To Turn Off Microphone — Entire Chamber Hears Him Relieve Himself [Video]

A council meeting in Georgetown, Texas, got entertainingly awkward when a councilman forgot to turn off his microphone. The reason why is because the councilman forgot it when it should be turned off: while using the restroom.

According to Mashable, the councilman — who has remained unidentified, surely out of embarrassment — requested a leave to use restroom facilities. He was granted leave but forgot to either take off or turn off his microphone. As a result, a Chamber consisting of, at most, ten people (by what is shown in the video) were subject to the sweet sounds of the councilman urinating.

Eventually, the situation went from awkward to hilarious as the remaining councilmen gave up poise and composure as they busted out laughing, as reported by the Blaze. Probably the best part of the entire video is the fact that the city’s mayor, Rachael Jonrowe, was speaking on the topic of infectious diseases as the councilman relieved his bladder. Yet, the most important basic bathroom habit was avoided if the microphone is believed to still be on: the unidentified councilman forgot (or may have outright avoided) washing his hands.

This is best presented by the top comment on YouTube on Saturday, which read as follows.

“Oh god, he didn’t wash his hands. Disgusting.”
