Brooklyn Decker And Andy Roddick Will Welcome Their First Baby In The Fall

Model turned actress Brooklyn Decker will be welcoming her first baby with tennis star Andy Roddick in the Fall. The 28-year-old model turned actress’ representative confirmed the exciting news to People yesterday.

“I’m happy to confirm Brooklyn and Andy are expecting a new addition to their family in the autumn of this year,” Decker’s rep, Jesse Parker Stowell, says.

Decker also announced her pregnancy to her fans through her Twitter account on Saturday, even posting a picture of herself holding her barely there baby bump. She captioned the photo, “So this happened… #the3ofus.”

Brooklyn married 32 year-old Roddick in 2009 in a beautiful wedding that took place at their home in Texas. The couple currently has two bulldogs named Billie Jean King and Bob Costas that they are responsible for, so the new baby should be a piece of cake.

Decker has been extremely vocal about wanting to have a baby with her husband in the past, and now it looks like everything the Gracie and Frankie star could hope for is going to happen.

I love kids. I definitely want kids,” Decker told People last April. “I just have to figure out the timing of that.”

The last photo that Decker posted on her Instagram before posting her pregnancy announcement gave no hint of the model’s impending due date or even that she was expecting a baby. Her choice of outfit though, may now be seen as a clever way to hide the pregnancy until she was ready to tell the world about it. Brooklyn was wearing a black and white billowy, loose-fitting top, and a pair of black shorts.

Andy has yet to comment publicly on the news that he is going to be a father, but he did retweet a post of the People article announcing the couple’s good news.

Roddick retired from his pro-tennis career in 2012. He is currently the last North American male player to win the Grand Slam in a singles event, and he is also the last player to become both the world No. 1, and end of the year world No. 1, which is something he accomplished in 2003. Andy now spends much of his time focusing on his Andy Roddick Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that provides children with opportunities outside the school day in things like computers and sports.

The couple is going to have an eventful month. Brooklyn’s new Netflix show Gracie and Frankie premieres on May 8, and Roddick will be hosting his annual Andy Roddick Foundation Gala on Monday evening. One of the best parts of that evening is sure to be the entertainment, when longtime friend Elton John takes the stage.
