Katy Perry On ‘Wonderland’ Mag Cover: Hot Or Not? Sexy Songtress Tries Out Radical New Look [Photos]

Katy Perry appears on the cover of the new edition of Wonderland Magazine this month, but the real question is, will even her most passionate fans recognize her? And if they do, will they find her stunning new look hot — or not?

Actually, Katy Perry sports two new looks on the alternate covers of Wonderland. One of them shows the Super Bowl halftime hitmaker as a platinum blonde with short hair — a look that has been compared to Kim Kardashian’s flirtations with a blonde hair color, but actually has more in common with a younger Annie Lennox, the buzzcut-sporting Scottish singer.

The other alternate Katy Perry Wonderland cover displays the “Firework” songstress with ramrod-straight, fiery red hair — this time saving the bottle of bleach for her eyebrows, giving her face a ghostly, washed-out look behind bright, blood-red lipstick.

So, if you’re wondering what Katy Perry — who rumor has it is naturally blonde anyway, but is better known for her jet-black, bouncing mane — looks like as a platinum blonde, here she is in the photo shoot from Wonderland.

The shift in fashion for Katy Perry probably comes as a welcome diversion from the criticism she received for another recent fashion statement. Appearing onstage as part of her worldwide Prismatic tour in China, Perry donned a flamboyant sunflower dress.

Now, the sunflower is the symbol of a Taiwanese freedom movement, used by students in Taiwan to protest against the dominance of mainland China. Taiwan and China have long been embroiled in a bitter dispute over which country has the right to be called the “real” China, and enjoy recognition as such by the world community.

The greenish-yellow dress featured two giant, faux sunflowers affixed directly to each of Katy Perry’s famous breasts. The gesture was seen as the singer’s attempt to intervene in China’s internal politics by some on mainland China, but Perry herself has yet to comment on the geopolitical imbroglio.

She has commented, and seems pretty excited about, her Wonderland cover shoot, calling it “one of my favorite shoots I’ve ever done,” in a social media posting — before the covers even appeared on line.

Here is Katy Perry on the cover of Wonderland as a redhead.
