Pictures of actor Stephen Amell in character as Casey Jones from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 have hit the Internet!
Executive producer Michael Bay was the one that released the picture of the masked hockey playing vigilante on his official Twitter page Friday.

With a red hockey stick in his right hand, Stephen Amell is also pictured wearing a hooded jacket and t-shirt. Perhaps the highlight of his outfit that has generated the most attention on Twitter was the mask.
In addition to his witty persona and fighting skills, Casey Jones has always been favored by TMNT fans and critics for his mask.
Whether he was featured in an animated cartoon or portrayed by actor Elias Koteas on the big screen, Casey Jones’ mask has always played an instrumental role in his overall wardrobe.

Therefore, the fact that the new Casey Jones mask is a major topic of discussion online is not surprising. Sadly, the honest reactions and responses posted by fans and critics of the franchise were not very good.
I’d say how crap Casey Jones’ new mask looks, but I don’t want to give the impression I think anything in that film will actually look good.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Stephen Amell was chosen to play the role of Casey Jones in the upcoming, follow-up sequel to the 2014 hit reboot, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Although the highly-anticipated 2016 sequel will introduce Stephen Amell as Casey Jones for the first time, it is definitely not the first time that the 33-year-old Canadian actor has played a masked vigilante. Instead of a hockey mask and stick, Amell is likely a little more comfortable with a bow & arrow, since he is mostly known for playing Oliver Queen on the hit TV series, Arrow.
Chances are that the Casey Jones mask will look a little different on the big screen than it does on the picture released to the world by Michael Bay. However, that apparently is not going to stop people from commenting about it negatively online.
