‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ Is Adding New Playable Characters, Dragons To Multiplayer Alongside The Free Black Emporium Update Next Week

Dragons are coming to Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer. The mythical beasts litter the landscape of the game’s single player campaign but have been notably absent from the title’s separate multiplayer mode. BioWare, developer of Dragon Age: Inquisition, announced today that a new multiplayer DLC is on the way and it adds the massive enemies to the multiplayer side of the game.

Fans were notified via the game’s official Twitter account about the upcoming release of the “Dragonslayer” multiplayer expansion. Players will be able to craft a Dragon’s Call to summon a high dragon to battle within the multiplayer. The Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer has featured Venatori, Red Templars, Demons, and wildlife as enemy types, but dragons are completely new to the mode.

“Dragonslayer” will also add three new playable classes and a new location to do battle in. The DLC was detailed and dated on the official Dragon Age: Inquisition website. Players will be able to play as Avvar the warrior, Zither the virtuoso, and Isabela the raider when the DLC releases. Those who have played through the single player of Dragon Age: Inquisition will recognize Avvar, the Skywatcher from the Fallow Mire while most players know Zither simply as this year’s April Fools’ joke. Fans of the series, of course, know Isabela from her role as a companion and potential love interest from Dragon Age 2.

Multiplayer agents will get a chance to fight within the new Ferelden castle location in addition to the Orlesian Chateau, the Eleven Ruins, and the Tevinter Ruins. All of these features found in Dragon Age: Inquisition’s “Dragonslayer” DLC will release on May 5 for free.

Single player enthusiasts have content to anticipate on May 5, as well. “The Black Emporium” DLC will finally release, also for free, on the same day. This Dragon Age: Inquisition content lets players change their appearance after character creation and lets the Inquisitor shop for new items. Additionally, two new throne customizations are available for players of the previous two installments of the series.

“The Black Emporium is a premiere shopping destination, and Xenon doesn’t extend an invitation to just anybody. The Inquisition’s influence has truly spread far and wide. Enjoy exclusive access to his spectacular collection of epic weapons, powerful accessories, new crafting materials, and other rare items.”

Later in the month, players on PlayStation platforms and Xbox 360 will have access to the first single player DLC “Jaws of Hakkon.” The Inquisitr reported on the DLC’s eventual release on these consoles after a timed exclusive deal delayed its release. The DLC is out now on Xbox One and PC.
