NeNe Leakes Quits ‘RHOA’? She’ll Return — But With One Major Condition

Is NeNe Leakes leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta after eight seasons on Bravo? For the last several months, the reality star has hinted at such, but now, it seems she’s changed her tune.

During an April 30 interview with Us Weekly, NeNe Leakes claimed she couldn’t stand to work with people who were “so damn negative,” but would return to the show if the cast saw some changes.

“[There are] people who come on the show…willing to do anything. I want to work with people who have some respect and some limitations!”

NeNe Leakes has stated many times that she feels many of the women act out in an effort to get camera time, and some even go after her since she is the longest-running housewife on the show. At the same time, she enjoys the others and says they have fun together.

“There’s some fun girls in this group. Can we pull up sometimes and laugh?”

NeNe Leakes added she’s “over” the current cast, and hopes Season 8 will include a more positive group of women.

“I would be happy to come back if we could find the right girls. If the show stays this way, I can’t see myself doing it… who wants to work in a stressful environment?”

NeNe Leakes is the only housewife who has starred on The Real Housewives of Atlanta since the show began. Since then, her co-star lineup has changed a number of times, and judging by her latest comments, she’s not loving what Bravo has arranged for her lately. Most notable, perhaps, is NeNe Leakes’ feud with Claudia Jordan, who was brought to the show during the series’ seventh season, along with Demetria McKinney, who is currently listed as a friend of the wives.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, NeNe Leakes and her former Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star, Kim Zolciak, recently landed their own Bravo spinoff, The Road To Riches. According to an E! News report, the description of the new show was as follows.

“Atlanta’s ‘most driven’ housewives…drive out of their comfort zones and across the country to discover America on a one-of-a-kind adventure. The road to LA may be paved with good intentions, but that doesn’t mean they won’t occasionally drive each other crazy.”

NeNe Leakes and Zolciak are expected to begin filming their new show soon, and a premiere date will likely be set sometime later this year.
