Jonah Hill’s 70 Pounds Weight Gain For ‘Arms And The Dudes’ Movie?

Is Jonah Hill’s 70-pound weight gain for Arms And The Dudes? Hill’s weight gain is quite noticeable if you look at before and after photos of the actor, and some are questioning why he would suddenly balloon in size.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, Jonah Hill may have made 21 Jump Street re-famous as a dude, but it’s said that the movie franchise will receive the Ghostbusters treatment since there are plans for an all-female 21 Jump Street cast.

Hill’s role for Arms And The Dudes has the actor acting all super bad. He plays the role of an arms dealer who supplies weapons to U.S. troops in Afghanistan and apparently this particular role requires him to be a little bit on the husky side.

If you look at the photos of the actor, Jonah Hill’s weight gain is almost immediately obvious. Jonah’s first outfit is a powder blue, linen button down shirt combined with beige linen pants and loafers. So, yeah, not exactly the standard arms dealer outfit you would expect, but perhaps not surprising since he is playing the role of a stoner (surprise!) who accidentally enters the arms dealing trade. The second set costume consisted of a black button down shirt and white shorts. Hill was also spotted wearing a yarmulke, and Hollywood Life believes it is a prop as part of his costume.

The real question is whether or not Jonah Hill’s 70 pounds are for Arms And The Dudes. At first glance the role does not seem to require a giant-size weight gain, and it goes against what he said about his weight loss mentality from several years ago.

“I started physically running instead of emotionally running. I started doing ten push ups and now I do a hundred every day. I was living like a frat guy during my Superbad days. It was just a matter of growing up and maturing as a man.” Jonah told ABC News. “It was just mostly diet. I wish there was some crazy thing that I did, like a pill or a genie or something. But it was, unfortunately, I went to see a nutritionist, and he told me what to eat to change my habits and stuff.”

Of course, at t the time Jonah also said he was trying to get away from the stoner image and delve into more serious roles (which explains The Wolf Of Wall Street).

“I’m almost 30 years old — I’m not a foul-mouthed seventeen-year-old kid who’s trying to get laid or whatever. I’m an adult man who takes his work really seriously. As I mature, my sensibilities have changed. I think once you get to a certain place, your career is all about delegating time and what you want to spend your time doing. I’ve made a lot of comedies in a really short amount of time, and they’ve been ripped off every which way to Sunday. So it’s not as exciting to do those anymore.”

Do you think Jonah Hill’s 70 pounds is for Arms And The Dudes, or do you think the weight gain indicates a personal issue?
