Kim Richards Relapse: ‘RHOBH’ Feud With Kyle Not To Blame?

Kim Richards’ sister, Kyle, is reportedly upset that her name is being linked to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s recent relapse and arrest.

On Dr. Phil, Richards alleged it was her family feud, which played out on the Bravo reality show’s fifth season, that pushed her over the edge emotionally and ultimately led her to alcohol. However, a source claims Kyle isn’t willing to take the blame for Kim Richards’ misstep.

Kim Richards’ arrest “certainly wasn’t surprising to Kyle,” an insider told Radar Online on April 29. “But to have her name dragged through the mud once again by her sister was extremely upsetting. [Kim Richards] wants to blame everyone else for the relapse, but the feud with Kyle is only intensifying.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kyle has yet to release a full statement regarding Kim Richards’ sobriety issues, but on April 27, their co-star, Lisa Vanderpump, spoke out. In an interview with Celebified, Vanderpump said the following.

“I think this is a time for [Kim Richards] to, kind of, pull back, and for us to kind of… I mean, very much this season I kept out of it. If you saw this season, even when there were confrontations going on, discussions, I said I didn’t want to get involved because I felt there were people closer to [Kim Richards] than I was. I didn’t feel it was my position.”

Kim Richards was arrested on April 16 at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where she had driven to after drinking vodka at her daughter Brooke Brinson’s Los Angeles home. Upon arrival, the reality star began drinking more and eventually became a disturbance to other guests. Because of her drunken behavior, hotel security was called, and Kim Richards was asked to leave — but she wasn’t ready and refused to go home.

A while later, the Beverly Hills Police Department arrived on the scene and also requested she leave. Still, Kim Richards wasn’t going anywhere and retreated to the bathroom, refusing to come out. After using minimal force to remove her, police took Kim Richards into custody, where she was said to have kicked a police officer.

After all was said and done, Kim Richards was charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer, and battery on an officer. She is due back in court on June 11, where she will address the charges against her.

Kim Richards is currently in rehab. No word yet on when she will be released.
