Lindsay Lohan Hit and Run?

Poor Lindsay Lohan can’t seem to stay out of trouble- or at least, the headlines- and the actress’ comeback hit a minor snag last night when it was alleged she left the scene of some sort of vehicular dustup.

The incident’s details have yet to fully emerge, but it appears that Lohan was leaving a hookah bar after midnight in Los Angeles when it happened. According to E!, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to the network that Lohan was involved, and the channel says:

“According to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman, shortly before 1 a.m. officers reponded to a call from a man who claimed that the star’s car had “brushed up” against him at a parking area near Hookah Lounge in Hollywood… Lohan and a companion were in the vehicle and were attempting to leave the parking area when they were surrounded by paparazzi and onlookers, per police.”

E! goes on to say that Lohan’s vehicle’s attempts to circumnavigate the “throng” of looky-loos and paps resulted in her allegedly “swiping” the man’s vehicle. Police have confirmed, however, that they were unable to determine who was behind the wheel at the time of the said swiping, and that no damage or injuries occurred.

It seems that whatever occurred, it’s not likely Lohan’s gradual comeback will be impeded by the possible fender bender. Of late, a judge presiding over her old, ongoing DUI case praised her progress in getting her life “back on track,” and the actress has recently hinted she may play Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming Lifetime project.
