Lisa Vanderpump Says Entire ‘RHOBH’ Cast Love And Support Kim Richards

Kim Richards has admitted that she lied to all of her The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars regarding her sobriety. During her interview with Dr. Phil, which aired on Tuesday, Kim admitted that on the night that she was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel, a little more than a week ago, she drank vodka at her daughter Brooke Brinson’s house. She then drove to the hotel’s Polo Lounge, where she was eventually arrested for public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer, and battery on a police officer.

In a clip of the interview that was posted on E! News, when Dr. Phil mentioned that she hadn’t had a drink in three and a half years, Kim admits that’s not true. She said that her co-stars made it hard for her to come clean.

“No, that’s not true. I did have a drink a couple other times over the last few months. And it was wine. I was ashamed to say anything at the reunion. Embarrassed. I would have loved to have said to the girls, ‘You’re right,’ but the way they’re coming at me, they didn’t make it very easy for me to tell them, like, you’re right, you know. I screwed up.”

Kim also said that being on the show has not helped her struggle with sobriety.

“I’m a very strong person and I have been sober. I haven’t been working a program. Living through a season on a show, sometimes it’s hard to just get through it. The fans are really hard on me.”

Some of Kim Richards’ The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars have spoken out on her latest troubles. Lisa Vanderpump, who told Kim repeatedly throughout the fifth season that everyone was coming from a place of well-meaning concern rather than ill-intent when it came to her sobriety, told E! News that all of the Beverly Hills housewives are behind Kim.

“More than anything all of the cast hopes she receives the treatment she needs. We all love her and support her at this difficult time and know she will emerge better equipped with what life has to offer.”

Lisa has been very vocal about Kim’s sobriety. In a blog post after the airing of Part 1 of the Season 5 reunion, Lisa revealed what she tried to say to Kim before being told by host Andy Cohen to stop in order to let Kim continue talking.

“Just a footnote: Some have asked what I was going to say to Kim, before Andy shut me up. I was going to ask her why in Paris she stated I was contesting her sobriety and was so angry when I gently asked if she took a sleeping pill… to explain her bizarre behavior.”

Lisa was referring to the group’s trip to Paris in the third season, where Kim behaved erratically, rambled, and missed a group cooking class. Kim chalked her behavior and absence to jet lag and complained to her sister, Kyle Richards, about Lisa questioning her.

Lisa’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills blog post from early April also warned that Kim will end up looking foolish for hiding things and not taking responsibility.

“Who lies, who hurls hollow accusations with nothing to substantiate them ends up looking foolish. So be sure to live your life transparently, be sure to have a solid foundation before you challenge somebody, and above all, have a modicum of accountability for your actions and beware when cameras are rolling–they are your witness.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, after her Dr. Phil interview, Kim Richards checked herself into a rehab facility. While Kyle Richards has remained silent on the matter, Kim’s other sister, Kathy Hilton, who was at the filming of the Dr. Phil interview, has tweeted her support for Kim.
