‘RHOBH’ Reunion: Kim Richards Has Been Drinking For The ‘Past Few Months’ But Was Too ‘Ashamed’ To Admit It

The RHOBH reunion featured a number of disputes about the ongoing sobriety struggles of Kim Richards. However, at the time, the reality star and mother of four claimed she hadn’t relapsed and alleged her co-stars’ concerns were out of line. Then, during her interview on Dr. Phil on April 28, Richards was seen admitting that she had been drinking for the “past few months.”

“I did have drinks a couple other times over the past few months. It was wine,” Richards admitted, according to a report by PEOPLE Magazine.

Although Richards didn’t reveal exactly when she began drinking again, it was likely before the RHOBH reunion took place, which means she wasn’t being honest with her co-stars during the three-part RHOBH reunion, which began airing on March 31, less than one month ago.

“I was ashamed to say anything at the [RHOBH reunion], embarrassed. I would have loved to say to the girls, ‘You know what, you’re right,’ but the way they were coming at me, they didn’t make it easy.”

Throughout the fifth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Richards’ sobriety was pulled into question after she was seen acting inebriated. Although she later admitted to taking one of her ex-husband Monty Brinson’s pain killers, she claimed the indiscretion was nothing more than a “slip-up,” because she never abandoned her recovery plan.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Brinson stayed mum on the pain killer he gave Richards until after the RHOBH reunion aired. At that point, Brinson took to Instagram, where, according to AllAboutTRH, he claimed he never meant to do anything aside from help his ex-wife.

“That night she was in so much pain they demanded her to shoot. It was not a cancer pill. It was a stupid vicoden pill which people take for pain tooth aches. I would never give medication to anyone but as much I cared I hated seeing her in pain and thought it might get her through the shoot.”

As for Richards’ relationship with Kyle, which reached a dramatic point during the RHOBH reunion, Richards claimed to Dr. Phil that they’ve been in touch.

“She actually texted me after my arrest, for the first time in five months. She asked me if I was okay. I haven’t spoken to her, but I’m sure some people are having a field day with this, and I don’t really care.”

The three-part RHOBH reunion concluded earlier this month.
