Hillary Clinton Hawks Free Bumper Stickers While Baltimore Rioters Burn Down Historic City

Or at least that’s the message Hillary Clinton detractors were shouting after an unfortunately timed tweet from the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign.

With the long and brutal march toward the 2016 Presidential Election off to what many believe is a very premature start, the declared presidential candidates are already starting to absorb some bumps and bruises, those candidate’s opponents not pulling any punches in an effort to discredit and destroy the candidate’s presidential hopes.

Which of course brings us to one of the biggest targets, Hillary Clinton, the Democratic hare who doesn’t even have a particular fellow Democratic party tortoise chasing her at the moment.

While Hillary is obviously a seasoned political heavyweight, even the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign isn’t immune to little political gaffes that attackers can use to build mountains from molehills. And along with bigger issues like Benghazi and personal email accounts, the most recent of these little political gaffes from the Hillary Clinton campaign involves Baltimore burning and Hillary Clinton’s camp promoting free Hillary 2016 bumper stickers via Twitter, reports the Daily Mail.

Responses to the free Hillary Clinton 2016 bumper stickers included several that were not positive, several respondents calling foul on Clinton for promoting her presidential campaign while Baltimore burned during its current state of unrest and rioting, resulting in significant violence and destruction.

“Geat timing! #BaltimoreRiots RT @HillaryClinton,” said Josh Smith, ?@JoshToTheSmith, regarding the “Don’t miss your chance to get a free Hillary 2016 bumper sticker!” Hillary Clinton tweet.

@HillaryClinton Instead of selling bumper stickers why don’t you say something to keep the peace In #Baltimore?” said Alessandro, ?@alesandrotea, followed by, “If @HillaryClinton was President and #BaltimoreRiots were happening, this is how she’d handle it.”

Others were a little more harsh, such as Mark Fisher, ?@Gatortrapper, who said, “@HillaryClinton: Baltimore burns as the Wicked Witch fiddles with her price tags for sale of favors and packs her IT equipment in cement.”

Ouch!

But as mentioned above, Hillary Clinton is no newbie to political attacks, spin, or potentially damaging social media affronts that she knows will only continue, along with the long slog toward the actual 2016 Presidential Election and her Hillary Clinton 2016 presidential campaign.

So how did the Hillary Clinton camp respond to the negative reactions spurred by her offer of free Hillary 2016 bumper stickers on Twitter?

They didn’t.

Instead, Hillary expressed her solidarity with Baltimore and the rest of America in another Twitter message, sending her prayers for peace and safety in historic Baltimore, while also acknowledging Freddie Gray, whose death while in police custody ignited the current Baltimore riots, and Freddie Gray’s family.

So with well over a year until the November, 2016, election day, Hillary Clinton seems to have reasonably weathered one of what promises to be many political-social-media storms.
