Pacquiao-Mayweather Fight Tickets Selling For $62,000 On Ebay — Manny Spent $3 to $4 Million To Give Away 900 Tickets

It’s a fascinating thing to plop the names “Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao” into the search engine on eBay and select the “Tickets and Experiences” option from the drop-down menu. That’s where users are met with all sorts of ticket options for the big fight between the duo this Saturday in Las Vegas, like a package of two tickets for ringside seats and hotel privileges that’s going for $62,000 — with one bid already as of this writing. One boxing aficionado has already paid $50,000 for a ringside seat.

As reported by the Associated Press, those who scored ringside tickets to see Mayweather and Pacquiao will likely be the rich and famous, including celebrities like Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, and others. With only about 16,800 tickets to go around for the fight of the century, the demand for the event drives up the prices.

The tickets that were offered to the public — either 500 up to 1,000 — sold out in seconds, reports the Inquisitr. Even John McCain won’t likely spend the face value of $10,000 for ringside seats, calling the tickets “pricey” via his spokeswoman, Julie Tarallo.

Meanwhile, Time has a list of good ideas of ways to watch the fight for free, including switching to DISH, mooching off friends, or taking advantage of the many bars, casinos, and restaurants that are planning to have viewing parties for the Floyd/Manny fight. Lots of articles guiding folks towards where to watch the fight in bars in the local areas, such as this article from Philly, are popping up in preparation for the big night.

Bob Arum is Pacquiao’s promoter, and even he didn’t get a free ride. Bob paid $10,000 for his seat in the front row. However, Pacquiao paid $3 to $4 million to give away 900 tickets to his entourage.

Even the weigh-in tickets for the Mayweather-Pacquiao event are supremely popular, reports KVVU Las Vegas — with the publication stating that 10,000 weigh-in tickets sold out on Friday within 60 minutes — each priced at $10 per ticket. Those same weigh-in event tickets are selling on eBay for hundreds of dollars, with the sold listings proving that people were willing to pay $250 for two weigh in tickets thus far.
