Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Lewis Goes Off On Twitter & YouTube About Rioters

Baltimore Ravens’ Hall of Famer Ray Lewis addresses the rioters. He’s not happy or supportive of their actions. Via Twitter and YouTube, he vents to those rioting individuals.

If you don’t know of Ray Lewis, he’s one of Baltimore’s finest. Not as a police officer, but he’s one of the city’s finest athletes. Ray’s Twitter profile description reads as follows.

“2x SB champion, 2x D.P.O.Y. Superbowl 35 MVP, 13x Pro-Bowler. 17 years in the NFL, 10x All-Pro and now an Analyst for ESPN. And a blessed Father!!!!”

Yeah, “that” Ray Lewis.

Well, it seems that he’s had enough of the turmoil happening in Baltimore due to the rioters. Via his twitter page, Lewis updates as follows.

“No way, no way this can happen in our city. Violence is not the answer. We must have peace in our city. We are a city that’s built on believing in each other. We must come together. We can stop the violence as a community. These kids have to have real leaders. We need everybody to join this movement.”

These Lewis tweets were made just hours ago. He also uploaded a video via YouTube to address the rioting issue.

In the video, Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Lewis states that the kids need to get off the street, and that violence isn’t and has never been the answer. He also states that people have worked too long and hard for Baltimore to have them destroy it like that.

Though things have calmed a lot, the rioters are still in the area but being held “at bay.” The national guard was activated to de-escalate Baltimore’s rioting issue.

While these riots were occurring, it’s possible that Ray Lewis was not in the city at the time and just found out about it upon return. The following tweet was made 15 hours prior to the aforementioned updates.

Lewis explained that the community needs to come together. Maybe Ray will be glad to know that even rival gangs have some together to help get things back on track in the city.

Baltimore’s riot clean-up and restoration has begun, but it has a long way to go to get things back to the way they were or better.
