WWE News: Big Update On The Health And Return Time For WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan

WWE at one point booked WWE Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan in a match against Bad News Barrett for the IC Title at WWE Extreme Rules. This match was supposed to take place a few days ago on Sunday. However, we heard Bryan was hurt and that the match was up in the air. WWE gave no information on it until the day of Extreme Rules, which many found to be in poor taste. The company knew Bryan was not able to be there days before. Why they didn’t tell the fans before is still unknown.

What is known is that Daniel Bryan is hurt and yet again holding a title at the same time. This brings a lot of people back to last year when Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 30. Sadly, he barely had the opportunity to defend the newly won title before he had to go off and have surgery. At one point, it was considered minor and only a five-week recovery period at worst. The issue progressively grew and complications occurred.

Due to this, WWE stripped Bryan of his World Title and Bryan was out of action for the rest of the year. Now, Bryan is hurt again and many are under the impression the same issue as last year will occur. However, that is not the case.

According to Cageside Seats, due to what happened last night with Brie Bella being attacked as she spoke about Bryan, it appears that WWE is not worried about Bryan’s injury. It is said that Bryan should be back within a month or so. Does that mean he will be at WWE Payback? That’s up in the air. The idea being thrown out right now is that Bryan could return at Payback itself. Another rumor is that he’d return on the WWE RAW after.

Bryan Trip Steph

WWE may very well allow Bryan’s return to be a surprise, which would be good to see.

Right now, Daniel Bryan is going through a shoulder injury. As we’ve seen with the NBA’s Kevin Love recently, who also has a shoulder injury, the potential injury both men have are said to be minor but serious enough to keep out of action for a number of weeks. In Love’s case, he’ll miss the the semi-finals in the NBA Playoffs and could return by the Conference Championship round if his team the Cleveland Cavaliers make it that far.

Bryan is in the same place. The injury is serious enough that WWE does not want him working. However, it is not so serious that WWE wants to keep him out for another 6 months.

Many talk up Daniel Bryan’s injuries and wonder when he’ll retire, or that he might have to. Interestingly enough WWE talent like John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H, The Undertaker, Stone Cold, etc. have all been injured far more than Bryan and all have returned to the ring after. That said, Bryan has been hurt enough to miss action only twice since being in WWE. This particular incident isn’t even serious. Which begs the question, if those men didn’t get flack….why is Bryan? Expect the leader of the “Yes” Movement to be back sometime in May.
