Jana Duggar And Jinger Duggar Don’t See Many Benefits Of Being Reality Show Stars

Jana Duggar and Jinger Duggar don’t get as much media attention as sisters Jessa and Jill, and there’s a reason for this — they’re not married or having babies.

Unfortunately, female stars of 19 Kids and Counting don’t have a lot going on in their lives if they’re not trying to start a family — no Duggar daughter has headed off to college or left home to do her own thing before getting married. Because of the family’s strict religious views, 25-year-old Jana Duggar will likely stay at home until she finds a husband. This means she’ll continue to spend most of her time taking care of her younger siblings and helping her parents run the household.

Even though Jana and 21-year-old Jinger don’t have any huge life events to talk about, People recently took a break from covering Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar’s baby news to check in with the oldest Duggar daughters left at home. Jinger and Jana Duggar were asked about the benefits of being on a reality show, and the both girls could only come up with one upside to starring on 19 Kids and Counting.

“Having cameras around all the time is kind of like capturing home videos,” Jinger said.

Jana Duggar’s response was very similar to her sister’s answer.

“You get that home footage pretty much all the time, so you get those memories that have been made together, and it’s really special to look back on those times.”

Jana and her sister recently discovered one other benefit of being reality show stars — they got to appear in People‘s annual Most Beautiful issue. Michelle Duggar and her five eldest daughters were included alongside stars like Sandra Bullock, Vanessa Hudgens, Gabrielle Union, and Laverne Cox. It would be interesting to know what Michelle Duggar thinks about appearing on the same list as a transgender actress — as the Inquisitr previously reported, the 19 Kids and Counting matriarch once equated transgender people to sexual predators and pedophiles.

Jinger and Jana Duggar got a mini-makeover for their People’s Most Beautiful photoshoot, and Jana had to enjoy being pampered like a princess after spending years playing the role of “Cinderella Duggar.” In the transformation video below, Jana says that her beauty routine is usually “short and sweet,” and this is likely because she doesn’t have much time to focus on herself — she’s too busy keeping an eye on her younger brothers and sisters. Jessa, Jill, Michelle, and 17-year-old Joy-Anna also appear in the makeover video.

Do you think it’s sad that Jinger and Jana Duggar are still stuck at home with little to talk about besides starring on 19 Kids and Counting?
