Wife, Husband & SUV: Man Trapped Under SUV Rescued By Wife After ‘Premonition’
A wife saved her husband who was nearly crushed to death by his SUV in Utah after she got a strange feeling that something bad had happened to him.
According to People Magazine, Nicole Mayhew had a premonition of sorts, and she just knew that she needed to get to her husband. When she arrived home, she learned that her husband was indeed in danger. Forty-three-year-old Scott Mayhew was working on the family’s car when it fell off the jack and pinned him to the ground.
Unable to move, Scott said that he started praying.
“There was a lot of pain. I felt the car crushing me. I just knew if I hung on long enough, my prayers would be answered and she would know to come home,” he said.
And he was right. The wife found her husband under the SUV and quickly called her neighbor over to help. They were able to use the jack to lift the vehicle off of Scott’s body, and they saved his life by doing so. Scott suffered six broken ribs and other internal injuries, but he is expected to make a full recovery. For that, he thanks his wife.
Nicole says that she heard something when she arrived home, like her husband calling to her. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, she said that the voice was coming from the garage, and that she immediately knew that the car had fallen on Scott. She did not hesitate to go to him and seemed to describe the whole thing as otherworldly.
The wife who saved her husband from under the SUV could only explain what came over her as a “gut feeling.” She had something inside of her telling her that she needed to get home. If she had been even a few minutes later than she was, the outcome could have been quite different.
“I had this feeling come over me that I needed to go home and check on my husband,” said Nicole. “I think God was watching over us that day. I’m so thankful for that.”
Thankfully, this story has a happy ending.
According to ABC News, a paramedic on the scene said that Scott could have died if he was stuck under the SUV for much longer. He called Scott “lucky,” and said that the timing was key to Scott still being alive.
