Brad Pitt Sports Mystery Bruise At Autism Event And The World Has To Know Why

Oh no, Brad Pitt has a boo-boo. The actor appeared with a mystery bruise on his chiseled face recently and the world began wonder just how he hurt himself.

Evidently, the cause is disappointing in its normalcy. Pitt didn’t get into a bar fight or miss his landing while skydiving. No, he succumbed to a pair of errant flip-flops.

That proves it — celebrities are people just like everyone else.

Brad had to explain how he came to sport the mystery bruise, which caught sharp-eyed observers at the 3rd annual Light Up the Blues Concert put on for Autism Speaks, People reported.

“This is what happens when you try to run up steps in the dark, with your arms full, wearing flip flop. Turns out if you then try to stop your forward momentum with your face, the result is road rash.

Surely, the hunky actor looked absolutely fabulous and sexy as he tumbled down the stairs, flip-flops, laundry (just assuming), and a pile of movie scripts flying into the air.

Despite the injury, which SpreadIt noted was hard to miss, Pitt attended the worthy event. But everyone was “focused on the large red bruise under his right eye,” which gossip outlets have forced the actor to explain.

“Regardless, I wasn’t going to miss the Autism Speaks benefit the night after – wonderful people and I was honored to be a part of this important event,” he said.

Page Six even called his rep seeking further comment about the rather commonplace domestic incident; not surprisingly, Brad didn’t have more details to give.

And rest assured Pitt, 51, didn’t need to go to the hospital.

More important was the Autism Speaks event, which was hosted by Jack Black. Pitt even had the wherewithal, despite his throbbing face, to buy a Fender guitar for $23,000 to benefit the charity. Other celebrities — sans a mystery bruise of their own — were also there, including Christina Applegate, Gary Colem, and Amy Brenneman. The concert ended with a rendition of Neil Young’s “Rocking the Free World” by the night’s performers, Spencer Harte featuring Petra Haden, Nick Guzman, and Matt Savage.

Too bad Pitt’s bruise captured the headlines, especially with such a lame explanation. It would’ve been cooler, however, had he told the world he sustained the mystery bruise while holding a Fight Club re-enactment in his basement.

Opportunity missed.
