Carrie Underwood Back In The Studio With Son, Isaiah: ‘I Think We’re On The Right Track!’

Carrie Underwood hasn’t been seen in public much recently, but fans of the country music superstar can be rest assured: Underwood has been busy.

Not only is she a new mother to her baby boy Isaiah, but she also announced on Twitter that she’s already back in the studio working on her next album.

It didn’t take long for Carrie Underwood’s fans to respond to the news with jubilation. Within minutes, Underwood fans flooded the singer’s Twitter with retweets, well-wishes, and expressions of excitement. Some even expressed jealousy that Carrie Underwood’s son got to hear her work before everyone else — jokingly, of course.

Since her son was born on February 27, Carrie Underwood has, for the most part, stayed out of the public eye. As the Inquisitr reported, Underwood missed out on the 2015 Academy of Country Music Awards on April 19, but she was seen earlier in the month supporting her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher, at a Nashville Predator’s playoff hockey game.

In addition to adjusting to motherhood and working on her new album, Carrie Underwood also has been busy promoting her new line of workout clothes, called Calia by Carrie. The line is sold only in Dick’s Sporting Goods stores, according to Underwood’s Twitter page.

Carrie Underwood hasn’t toured at all since the birth of her son, but she’s next expected to play a show in Ozark, Arkansas on June 26.

In the meantime, Underwood’s most recent album, called Carrie Underwood’s Greatest Hits, Decade #1, has seen widespread commercial success. The two-disc set, which was released on December 9, includes songs from her first four studio albums, as well as four new songs. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Country Album Charts and saw the biggest sales numbers for a hits collection in more than six years.

In fact, just a few weeks ago, the album was the inspiration for DJ Earworm’s mashup of all of Underwood’s hits to date.

Underwood hasn’t made it clear when her new album will be available, but one thing is obvious: Carrie Underwood fans are excited to see what she comes up with next.
