Robert Kardashian: Bruce Is His Role Model, “Now More Than Ever”
Robert Kardashian and his famous sisters made it clear over the weekend that they support and love their stepdad, Olympian Bruce Jenner, after his explosive tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer last week.
Kardashian took to Twitter to share some encouraging words to Jenner, who told Sawyer in his interview that he is indeed transitioning to a female, something many people have suspected for a long time, but has never been confirmed.
“For all intents and purposes, I am a woman…I was not genetically born that way and as of now I have all the male parts… But I still identify as female. It’s very hard for Bruce Jenner to say that. Why? Because I don’t want to disappoint people,” he told Sawyer on 20/20.
Robert, who is rarely seen on the family’s reality shows these days, took to his Twitter account after the interview aired to show his support, saying, “You have always been a role model to me and now more than ever, I look up to you. LOVE YOU.”

Rob’s sisters Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney also offered kind words to Bruce, as did his daughter Kylie. Kim has said that Jenner’s transition has been a somewhat difficult adjustment, but that the family supports him no matter what.
“I think there is still an adjustment and there’s family therapy. And we’re really close. We all really support him. Is it a hard adjustment? Yes,” Kim said in an interview with the Today show, which will air on Monday.

Rob’s support of Jenner comes as something of a surprise to some after his reported disinterest in being on their reality shows, a battle with depression and weight gain, and the news earlier this month that he is working on a tell-all book about them all.
“He wants to show how fame has changed and tainted the family over the years. They were a traditional church-going family who were very close and put each other’s welfare first, but now he says they often row and everyone’s falling apart in their own way,” a source told Closer Magazine.
