Elton John, Lady Gaga Offer Support To Bruce Jenner

Both Elton John and Lady Gaga have offered words of encouragement to Bruce Jenner after Jenner publicly acknowledged for the first time that he is transgender. The announcement came in an interview with ABCs Diane Sawyer that was broadcast on April 24. Speaking to Access Hollywood ahead of the interview, Elton John pledged his support to Jenner, saying how brave Jenner was for doing it.

“It’s an incredibly brave thing to do, especially when you’re older. I admire him for doing it and I support him 100 percent.”

Lady Gaga, as well as several other celebrities, took to Twitter in order to offer words of encouragement to Jenner after the interview aired, with many using the hashtag #BruceJennerABC to connect with others.

Jenners’ famous stepdaughter Kim Kardashian took to Instagram in order to talk about the interview, saying that she was a “proud daughter” after the interview aired.

“Love is the courage to live the truest, best version of yourself. Bruce is love. I love you Bruce.#ProudDaughter”
