Powerball Winning Numbers April 25: Are You The $50 Million Jackpot Winner?
Do you have the winning Powerball numbers for April 25? Saturday night’s jackpot is worth $50 million; if you match all six numbers on your ticket, you will become the lottery’s newest multi-millionaire.
There were no winners in the April 22 drawing, so the jackpot increased from $40 million to $50 million for tonight’s drawing that takes place at 11 p.m. ET. Watch the drawing live online on Powerball Live, or on one of these local TV channels.

To win the jackpot, you will need to match all five numbers and the Powerball, but don’t throw you ticket away if you’re not the grand prize winner. There are several non-jackpot prizes that will put a good chunk of change in your bank account. If you match five numbers (white balls, no Powerball), you will take home $1 million before taxes. Match any four numbers and the Powerball, and lottery officials will give you a check for $10,000 minus Uncle Sam’s cut.
According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the last jackpot ($50 million) was given away on April 18 to one lucky ticket holder in Puerto Rico. This is the second time in just two months that someone from Puerto Rico has hit it big in the Powerball game. Back in February, three people split a whopping $564.1 million jackpot, and one of the three winners was from Puerto Rico.
If you are tonight’s Powerball jackpot winner, you will have your choice of a lump sum payment, or an annuity. Winners who choose the annuity receive a yearly check spread out over 30 years, so it’s wise to contact a financial adviser before you claim your winnings to figure out which option is best for you.
According to US Mega, jackpot winners who choose the annuity option, the lottery would pay out approximately $1.25 million per year after 25 percent federal taxes are taken out. For those who want their payment in one lump sum, a check for approximately $33.4 million would be issued — that’s before taxes, of course.

Powerball tickets are sold at lottery retailers in 44 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Ticket sales close at least one hour before the drawings that are held on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
