WWE News: Triple H Responds To WWE Fans Saying He ‘Buries’ WWE Superstars

Triple H began his tenure with the WWE in the mid-1990s. Since his debut with the WWE as Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Triple H won a Royal Rumble match, WWE championship, World Heavyweight championship, Intercontinental championship and has main-evented multiple WrestleMania pay-per-views. Triple H is one of the greatest WWE superstars of all-time.

Now that HHH is starting to take over the WWE from Vince McMahon, the fact is that WWE fans still insist that Triple H continues to “bury” WWE superstars that are on the verge of a big push. Triple H was recently interviewed and talks about that exact phenomena.

“That’s one of the terms, ‘he buried him.’ It’s a show. Comic books, soap opera, TV drama, it never ends. They get so upset in the moment of thinking that it’s the end of the chapter. There’s another chapter tomorrow. They don’t understand the complexities of what goes on behind the scenes.”

HHH is exactly correct when he says the people who say that don’t understand how the business works. Perhaps Triple H used his power behind the scenes, once or twice, to get his own way during a WWE storyline. However, 99 times out of 100, Triple H does what is best for business. Besides, McMahon wouldn’t trust HHH if he was a bully backstage.

Triple H is also in the midst of the greatest wrestling brand in all of sports entertainment. NXT is the most-popular wrestling promotion in the world. Three-thousand-seat arenas sell out in a matter of hours when NXT comes to town. Triple H is right behind the genesis of NXT. He brought over stars like Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Hideo Itami and eventually Samoa Joe. That is all due to Triple H.

While NXT is a superb creation and the WWE is enjoying better ratings, McMahon and Triple H are dealing with the lawsuits set against the WWE from the former talents. With that currently on the plate of those WWE executives, Triple H is going to have to put on an excellent NXT live special in late-May. Samoa Joe is rumored to come to the company in June. On top of that, Seth Rollins is the best WWE champion they’ve had in a long time.

Triple H doesn’t bury anybody. Like he said, there are complexities outside of the public eye that affect the storylines put on television. The WWE is the greatest pro-wrestling organization in the world for a reason. When Vince McMahon retires, Triple H will be there to take charge into the next generation. NXT is the start.
