Chrissy Teigen Says She Will Never Alter Her Photos Again, Speaks Out About Her Stretch Mark Photo Backlash

Supermodels are human too, and Chrissy Teigen is no exception. After sharing a photo on Instagram, where her stretch marks were vividly noticeable, so-called fans attacked her. Recently, Chrissy gave an interview in which she explained that the reason for posting an unfiltered photo was simply because she didn’t feel like going through the hassle of Photoshop. The funny thing about Teigen’s photo is that is wasn’t meant to draw attention to marks at all, instead Chrissy reportedly wanted to show off her bruises.

“I actually am working on a cookbook and I was bumping around in the kitchen and the door handle would just nick me every single time. And I was actually just taking a picture of the bruises and then I saw the stretch marks in there. I have those apps, the Facetune and Photoshopping ones, and I just didn’t feel like doing it anymore—and I’m never doing it again, because I think we forgot what normal people look like now.”

Chrissy Teigen is one of few stars who want to look more natural, which is why she has recently spoke out against what other stars are doing. In her opinion they are projecting a false sense of beauty.

“I mean, people are nip-tucking. It’s gotten to the point where they’re not smoothing their skin anymore, they are actually changing the shape of their body and everybody else. Nobody can compare to that when you’re fixing yourself so much.”

Over the years, many stars have been accused of making themselves appear extremely thin in photographs and then showing up in person with a little extra weight. Chrissy Teigen’s interview make several points about the origins of this self-altering for the public eye.

“It’s so unfair. It started with Botox and everything, of course, but now it’s just grown into this Photoshop phenomenon and I’ve seen these women in person, they are not like that. Please know that. I’ve shot in barely anything with them and it’s just amazing what people do to tweak themselves.”

After her insider dish on what supermodels really look like before they send their photos to the editing room, Chrissy Teigen admits that she is just an overall normal person. She jokes about her embarrassing moments, like meeting the first family according to E! Online. Her insecurities arise just like in all woman, and she frequently finds herself questioning invitations she gets to high profile events. Chrissy Teigen wants everyone to know that she is not perfect.
