Peyton Manning Meets With Denver, Tim Tebow Beware [Video]

The first stop on the Peyton Manning express? A six hour meeting with John Elway and the Denver Broncos. After the meeting with Elway and the Broncos Manning left the stadium without talking to reporters.

Elway and Coach John Fox took Manning on a tour of the stadium, practice facilities and to the teams weight room. The team sent a private plan to Florida to pick Manning up and bring him to Denver.

Peyton Manning and The Indianapolis Colts parted ways after a long and storied relationship. The Colts drafted Peyton as a Number 1 pick in 1998 and he brought them to a super bowl win in 2007.

Graham Millar, a lifelong Colts fan who now lives in Aurora, Colorado told ESPN,

“Peyton Manning is a terrific leader. He’s phenomenal to watch. You feel like you’re watching a psychic. But it’s preparation. He knows exactly what to expect from every single player on that field.”

Sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter and ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen that Denver should not be considered the favorite to land Hall of Fame quarterback. Manning supposedly was at the Broncos to check out the team and facilities but not discuss a contract.

He is expected to visit with the Arizona Cardinals also today. Television crews were staking out the Cardinals’ headquarters in Tempe on Saturday, but there was no sight of the superstar as of roughly 1:00 p.m. ET.

Manning may be meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs also. Chiefs owner Clark Hunt told NBC Sports Network,

“He’s one of the greatest players in the history of the league. He’s also an incredible person. We feel really good about the team we have in Kansas City going into the 2012 season, but we’ll look for any opportunity to improve and, of course, that includes Peyton Manning.”

At least 12 teams reportedly have reached out to Manning’s representatives. Sources have said Manning would like to make a decision within a week on where he will play next year.

If Manning did choose Denver it would present an interesting question of what would happen to Denver quarterback Tim Tebow? Would they keep both and have Manning mentor Tebow while hopefully leading Denver to a Super Bowl?
