Demi Lovato Celebrates 4/20 With A #ThrowBackTuesday Photo On Instagram

Demi Lovato is celebrating 4/20. No, it’s not what you think. The singer took to Instagram to share a Photoshopped collage that included her former friends Miley Cyrus and Joe Jonas. Demi also recalled the first time she smoked marijuana with the two former Disney stars.

Lovato, 22, shared a crazy photo on her Instagram account on April 20. The photo included an old photo of Cyrus, 22, and an old cropped photo of Jonas, 25. The photo of the two Disney actresses was taken in 2009, when the entertainers teamed up with Joe Jonas and Selena Gomez for the Disney’s Friends for Change environmental campaign. Lovato may be celebrating her third year of sobriety, but she still has a sense of humor when it comes to marijuana use.

Demi admitted that she made the bizarre collage. She took a photo of herself with Miley and pasted a cutout of Joe’s head into the photo. Demi also drew a marijuana joint onto his mouth. She included the caption: “In honor of our former escapades, I thought you’d like this to remember your first blaze … Happy #420 @joejonas. #disneyhighclassof09” Ironically, Demi didn’t tag Miley’s name in the photo.

Her post is a reference to the first time that Jonas smoked weed. The singer revealed that he smoked with Cyrus and Lovato back in the day. Jonas wrote in a New York magazine essay, “I must have been 17 or 18. They kept saying, ‘Try it! Try it!’ so I gave it a shot, and it was all right.” Jonas then added that he doesn’t “even smoke weed that often anymore.”

Jonas also revealed he was there for Lovato when she first went to rehab. He also noted in the essay that he had a hard time being there for her.

“I really got to know her and got to see the ins and outs of what she was struggling with, like drug abuse. I felt like I needed to take care of her, but at the same time I was living a lie, because I wasn’t happy but felt like I had to stay in it for her, because she needed help.”

The former Jo Bro did respond to Demi’s 4/20 photo. He took to Instagram to share the photo with his followers with the caption: “Thanks @ddlovato for this gem. #420 #DIsneyHighClassof09” Joe also included the devil and laughing emojis.

Cyrus didn’t respond to Lovato’s pic. Instead, she’s been too busy celebrating 4/20 by sharing strange photos on her Instagram account. Cyrus made a Photoshopped photo of herself and Cheyne Thomas with the phrase: “Best Buds Stick Together.” She also wished her best friend a happy 4/20. Cyrus even shared a selfie of herself naked in bed with a joint in her mouth.
