Jade Helm 15: Military Says There Is Nothing To Fear

Operation Jade Helm 15 is not a sinister plot to enact martial law or to put Americans in FEMA camps, military officials claim. Jade Helm Walmart conspiracy theories nearly broke the internet last week, and speculation about perhaps the largest special forces training on U.S. soil are still sparking controversy

Jade Helm 15 involves 1,200 special forces team members engaging in armed forces drills into seven southwestern states as a part of realistic military training exercises. The special ops training in the West has become highly controversial. The elite fighting team will reportedly be ordered to “operate undetected” among the American civilian population.

Operation Jade Helm 15 begins in July and continue throughout the summer for eight weeks. Jade Helm will take place in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado. Residents of those stated have been deemed “hostiles” for military training purposes.

Army Lt. Col. Mark Lastoria, a USASOC spokesman, addressed the Operation Jade Helm 15 concerns and the Walmart and martial law conspiracy theories being bantered about online.

“That notion was proposed by a few individuals who are unfamiliar with how and why USASOC conducts training exercises. This exercise is routine training to maintain a high level of readiness for Army Special Operations Forces because they must be ready to support potential missions anywhere in the world on a moment’s notice.”

Some of the Army Special Forces teams be dropped from planes into the states. The weapons they special forces soldiers will be carrying when parachuting to the ground will be loaded with blanks.

A Jade Helm 15 release issued by the Army Special Operations Command stated that the military exercises will be significantly larger that similar realistic trainings in the past in both scope and size.

“The nature of warfare is always changing and U.S. Army Special Operations Command’s mission is to make certain the Army’s various Special Operations Forces are trained, equipped and organized to successfully conduct worldwide special operations in support of our nation’s interests. Training exercise Jade Helm is going to assist our Special Operations Soldiers and leadership in refining the skills needed against an ever changing foreign threat.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Walmart closures in Texas, California, Florida, and Oklahoma sparked concerns over the Operation Jade Helm military training exercises. A total of five Walmart stores closed rather abruptly and will remain shuttered for the next six months. Walmart workers who were suddenly left without a job were largely skeptical of the “plumbing problems” reason given for the store closings. Approximately 2,200 Walmart workers lost their jobs for at least the next six months, with just a few hours notice.

The Jade Helm Walmart conspiracy theories that prompted an online fury included rumors that underground tunnels beneath the stores exist and could be used to move soldiers around the nation undetected.
