The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida turned himself in last October to serve eight years in jail after being found guilty of several fraud charges. Prior to him going to jail, Phaedra Parks revealed that Apollo had acted out of character, had threatened her, and had said that he wanted to burn the house down. Clearly, his behavior was unreliable and scary.
Now that Apollo Nida is in jail, Phaedra may think that he can’t say much when it comes to Bravo viewers. However, she may not have counted on him calling Peter Thomas to dish some details about the relationship. But viewers loved hearing another side of the story, as Parks had been the only one to speak out about it.
According to a new Radar Online report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida is now revealing that he learned of the divorce via email, as Phaedra had written to him and informed him of her plans.
“Do you know [Phaedra] filed for divorce?” Peter Thomas asked Apollo Nida when he called him collected, which had Nida replying, “She definitely told me through e-mail and I’ve gotten word from everybody else, so f*ck it! What can I do?”
Apollo Nida added that he had not seen his children, and since he is in jail, there isn’t much he can do. Nida expressed his concerns to his lawyer prior to going to jail, where he explained that he was concerned Phaedra would take everything he owned when he was locked up. But it sounds like Parks has stayed in the same place.
And even though Phaedra may have filed for divorce, she isn’t eager to sign the papers to move on. According to the Inquisitr, Parks isn’t divorcing Apollo yet because she is involved in a lawsuit with author Angela Stanton. Stanton claims that Parks knew of Apollo’s legal troubles and should be locked up with him. If Parks divorces Nida, he could testify against her. If Apollo remains her spouse, he can legally not be forced to testify. It sounds like Apollo could be used by Parks for as long as possible.
Many viewers have been questioning whether Apollo and Phaedra would return for another season of the show. And since Nida can communicate from jail, it is very possible that Phaedra’s divorce, Chocolate drama, and her marriage will be shown on the next season of the show.
What do you think of Apollo Nida’s comments about Parks?
