Kimberly Dianne Richardson: Pregnant NC Woman Shot By Boyfriend Makes Chilling 911 Call Before Dying

Kimberly Dianne Richardson, a pregnant 25-year-old woman from Raleigh, North Carolina, was shot dead by her own boyfriend on Saturday night. According to WNCN, Dianne, who was just six months into her pregnancy was fatally shot by Daniel Joseph Steele, her boyfriend near Triangle Town Center. Before Kimberly passed away, she made a chilling call to 911 in which she struggled to tell her name and location. She also made a fervent appeal to save the life of her unborn child to the dispatcher.

According to WRAL, the Raleigh Police Department has since then released the last call made by Kimberly to 911 a few seconds after she was shot by Daniel.

Richardson, who was struggling to breath during the call, said as follows.

“Help, I’ve been shot.”

When asked for her address by the dispatcher, she said as follows.

“I’m not… Party City, behind Triangle Town Center mall.”

She was then asked for her phone number to which a fatally injured, Richardson said the following.

“I can’t… I can’t talk.”

This was followed by 45 seconds of chilling silence after which Kimberly mustered enough energy to tell the dispatcher her exact location.

“Behind Party City.”

Half a minute after this, the dispatcher could hear the sound of sirens in the distance.

Shortly after the shooting, Raleigh Police Department officers reached the spot where they found that she was pregnant. She was quickly transported to a hospital where an emergency cesarean section was performed on her to save the life of her child. Richardson, however, passed away from her injuries a short while later.

Raleigh Police Department later arrested 25-year-old Daniel Joseph Steele as a suspect in Richardson’s murder. Steele was picked up by the police from his home located on Snowcrest Drive a short time later and charged with her murder.

The exact circumstances that led to Richardson’s brutal killing remains a mystery and it is expected that more details pertaining to the case would be revealed after the police questions Daniel.

Steele is being currently held without bond.

The condition of Kimberly’s child, a baby girl, has not been revealed by officials from WakeMed at the request of her family members.
