Jessica Simpson Baby: Singer Reveals Forthcoming Child Will Be A Girl

Jessica Simpson is having a baby girl!

Boldly starring as the cover girl of US Elle magazine – where she proudly shares her adorable baby bump with the world – the singer, actress and fashionista revealed her forthcoming child with boyfriend Eric Johnson will be a “she.”

Jessica – whose April issue of Elle hits stands later this month – also revealed that the couple have decided on a “non-traditional” name for their daughter.

“We’re sure,” Simpson said of the baby girl’s name. “We’re embroidering it on things. It’s nothing shocking and nothing you’ll have to add to the dictionary. When people hear it, they’ll know why.”

The 31-year-old starlet also admitted that she is quite apprehensive about her daughter being athletic like her father, former NFL player, Eric Johnson.

“I swear, I will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins!==” she said. “Eric is so athletic. We’re gonna have this athletic girl and I won’t even be able to take her shopping.”

While Jessica has not confirmed her due date it’s widely thought that she is eight months pregnant – putting d-day somewhere in mid-April. Doctors also estimate that her new little bundle of joy will weigh in somewhere in the range of 10 pounds.
