Bobbi Kristina Brown Said To Be ‘Awake’ And ‘No Longer On Life Support’

Bobbi Kristina Brown has been in a medically induced coma since being found face down in her bathtub on January 31. By all accounts, she had not awakened, even after being transferred to a rehabilitation, long-term care facility. That is, until now. Her father, Bobby Brown, recently announced at a Saturday concert at the Verizon Theater in Dallas, Texas, that she was awake and watched him. The shocked crowd went wild when he announced the following, according to People.

“Bobbi is awake. She’s watching me.”

But a source close to the family indicated that there has really been no change in Bobbi Kristina, indicating the following.

“As far as I know, there’s been no change. We’re still hoping and praying that God will perform a miracle. We are leaving it in God’s hands.”

So, is Bobbi Kristina really awake? It could be true, as her aunt Tina Brown recently posted on Facebook that not only is Bobbi awake, but she stated that she is also off life support now, stating the following according to E! Online.

“So many messages, sorry can’t answer them all right now but I will get to them later..just allow me this time with my family,,yes, she woke up and is no longer on life support!!!!!:):)God is good!!thanks for your prayers,,still a process,but she is going to be ok:):):):). [sic]”

Another person who is close to the situation and posted that she has a connection to the family still asked for prayers, but also stated, according to E! Online, that Bobbi Kristina Brown is awake.

“Please don’t stop praying for Bobbi Kris even though she is off life support and she has woke up. We are decreeing life in her body and healing and we want to pray that god restore her body and everywhere that she hurts and we want god to mend her broken heart and make her whole all over again.”

Bobbi Kristina, who turned 22-years-old in March, is the only child of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston. Whitney Houston died three years ago after accidentally drowning in a hotel bathtub in Los Angeles, in eerily similar circumstances. The effects of heart disease and cocaine use were also found to have contributed to Houston’s death.

According to People, Bobby Brown thanked the crowd at his concert on Saturday for their ongoing support, and left things up to God, stating the following.

“I wanna thank all of y’all for coming out tonight, for supporting me and my family. Rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times. I don’t know what the hell I’m going through right now, but I’m giving it to God.”

According to an article in the Inquisitr, should anything happen to Bobbi Kristina, reports indicate that Cissy and Pat Houston would stand to gain much of the $20 million inheritance Bobbi has from her mother.
