David Hasselhoff’s New 80s-Themed Music Video ‘True Survivor’ Will Blow You Away

If you’re a David Hasselhoff fan, then you have to watch this video. On Thursday, the former Knight Rider and Baywatch star dropped one of the most amazing videos you would see this year. David “The Hoff” Hasselhoff is seen starring in the video titled “True Survivor” that has been shot in complete 80’s style. The video, which has been timed to coincide with the promotion of a new KickStarter funded comedy movie, Kung Fury, shows David battling thugs from the 80s, driving a retro Lamborghini, and battling dinosaurs, reports ABC News. There is an occasional Viking warrior too seen in the video — apart from retro computers and video game visuals straight from the 80’s.

At the start of the video, David is seen driving a police car near three street thugs who are brandishing their guns.

David stops the car and asks, “Hey, you got a permit for those guns?”

One of the men responds to Hasselhoff, saying, “I got your permit right here.”

Immediately after that, he is seen using a skateboard to flip Hasselhoff’s car into the air. David uses his gun to shoot the thugs dead even as his car is in the air. At the end of the gunfight, the victorious David lands a split as flames erupt right behind him.

The highlight at the end of the first scene is when David says, “Permit denied.”

The video has been well received by viewers across the globe. At the time of publishing this article, has managed to garner nearly 700,000 views in less than 24 hours since it was posted on YouTube.

The video is a must watch for all those 80s kids out there — and also if you happen to be a Back to the Future fan.

Like already mentioned earlier, the video was timed to coincide with the promotion of Kung Fury, which bills itself as “a visually spectacular action comedy that has its foundation in ’80s cop movies.” The plot of the movie deals with an 80s super kung-fu cop who travels back in time to kill Hitler.

Sadly though, there is no visual of David’s old friend, the supercar K.I.T.T., in the video. We’re sure there were several Knight Rider fans who would have loved to see K.I.T.T back in action!
