‘The Avengers’ Spoilers: Will A Certain Web-Slinging Marvel Superhero Make His First Appearance In ‘Age Of Ultron’?

There are plenty of spoilers surfacing as The Avengers gets ready for its highly anticipated debut in theaters around the world. One spoiler, reported by the Daily Beast, that has been creating quite the stir lately surrounds a leaked post credit scene that was just released online.

Marvel is known for having great teasers after the credits that tend to reveal something about a coming movie in the Marvel universe. The leaked video that recently surfaced once again revealed a new character that might be making his way onto the big screen. Fans of a certain web-slinging hero should rejoice.

The video appears to be taken inside a theater following the end of The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and starts off with a guy cleaning the windows of a skyscraper. As the worker squeegees the windows clean, a certain web-crawler named Spider-man can be seen in the background. Spider-man continues to tell the cleaner that he missed a spot before the scene ends. The Avengers tower can be seen in the background.

It is not known whether or not the clip is genuine or a fake, though it appears to be well done if it is not real. If the video is true, then it might indicate that fans could see Spider-man introduced into the world of the Avengers a lot quicker than was previously thought.

However, there has not been any official announcement from the studio that Spider-man has been cast for the next Avengers movie. This fact definitely makes the clip seem like it may have been faked and is just a ploy from a crafty fan. However, Marvel has settled its rights problems surrounding Spider-man, so the company is free to include him in future films.

At the same time, Marvel is known for having numerous after credit scenes. The studio had one that featured Thanos following the first Avengers film, and it also included an extra scene after Captain America: The Winter Soldier that showed Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. This makes it entirely possible that the leaked video is genuine.

Meanwhile, if Spider-man is going to be brought into the Avengers world any time soon, one thing is certain — Andrew Garfield will not be playing him. According to The Independent, the actor will not be reprising his role as Spider-man in a potential Avenger film. In fact, it seems as though filmmakers will be looking for someone much younger to play the role as Peter Parker.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to be released to theaters around the U.S. on May 1, 2015.
