Tom Brady Writes Heartwarming Note To Wife, Gisele Bundchen, As She Retires From The Runway

Tom Brady had some touching words for wife, Gisele Bundchen, as she decided to walk the runway one last time, bringing an end to the most lucrative modeling career of all time.

Bundchen had her final runway show ever on Wednesday, appearing at São Paulo Fashion Week in her native Brazil. Her husband was in attendance, and afterward wrote a heartwarming note.

“Congratulations Love of my Life. You inspire me every day to be a better person,” the New England Patriots quarterback wrote on Facebook. “I am so proud of you and everything you have accomplished on the runway. I have never met someone with more of a will to succeed and determination to overcome any obstacle in the way.”

Brady added, “You never cease to amaze me. Nobody loves life more than you and your beauty runs much deeper than what the eye can see. I can’t wait to see what’s next. I love you.?#?GOAT??#?thebestisyettocome?.”

It was a time for introspection for Gisele Bundchen as well. When she announced that the Colcci show would be her last, Gisele took the chance to look back on her two-decade career in the fashion industry.

“I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey. Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business. #firstrunway #14yearsold,” Gisele wrote online, posting a picture of herself at 14 when her career started.

Gisele has consistently been the top-earning model in the business, with Forbes estimating that she’s taken home $386 million since 2001 — or $427 million factored for inflation. And even though Tom Brady is among the highest-paid players in the NFL, it’s actually Gisele who’s the breadwinner in the family — she took him $47 million last year, while Brady earned “just” $33.1 million.

As the Washington Post pointed out, Gisele’s career means a lot more for her home country.

“Brazil needs good news. Right now, Gisele is it. With the possible exception of world surf champion Gabriel Medina, Brazilian sports stars in recent years have been hit and miss. The former standout of the BRICS economies is facing a likely recession. And a humiliating corruption scandal centered on state-controlled oil company Petrobras just keeps getting worse – João Vaccari, treasurer for the ruling Workers’ Party, was arrested earlier Wednesday in connection with ‘Big Oil,’ as it has been dubbed.”

Even though she could likely go on as the top-earning model for quite a few more years, Gisele Bundchen decided to cut short her career and focus on family. There are likely 31 other NFL teams hoping Tom Brady would do the same.
