Kyle Richards is providing details regarding the attack on her daughter by Kim Richards’ dog. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ star also defends herself, once again, against her sister’s claims of putting on a public display just for attention.
Fans watched the Richards’ sisters’ relationship completely deteriorate over the course of this season’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Although the sisters have had their share of problems during past seasons, their relationship took a dark turn this year. The root cause of the tension from the get-go of filming the fifth season of RHOBH revealed itself at the reunion to be the fallout from Kim Richards’ dog, Kingsley, biting Kyle Richards’ daughter Alexia, as the Inquisitr previously reported.
While the sisters had a chance at the RHOBH reunion to air their grievances about the dog bite and the problems that arose afterwards, Kyle Richards took the time Thursday to explain to fans what really happened when she took to her Bravo blog to provide more details about the incident.
According to Kyle, her daughter spent Halloween night with Aunt Kim. The next morning is when Kingsley bit Alexia. The reality TV star admits at first the bite did not seem serious, but doctors did not notice until later that the dog’s bite had pierced the bone and had broken it. It was not until five days after the bite that she found out the bone was infected and surgery was required. Kyle says it is true that Kim was upset with her for posting the Instagram photos of her daughter in the hospital. However, it was not Kyle who made public that it was Kim’s dog.
“Kim was upset, because I had posted pictures from the hospital. I NEVER said her dog bit Alexia. Never mentioned her OR her dog. TMZ ended up finding out that it was Kim’s dog, and she blamed me, because I posted the pictures from the hospital. I did not do that to hurt my sister in any way or to ‘get Instagram followers, like she suggested. With all of my family coming and going at the hospital, people were bound to find out and talk.”
At the RHOBH reunion, Kim took issue with the fact that when she visited the hospital to see Alexia, there were numerous people taking pictures, but Kyle insists it was only in an effort to distract and cheer her daughter up. It is hypocritical of her sister to say she had an issue with it because, Kyle says, Kim posted pictures of herself while she was in the hospital this year.
While Kyle was willing to let it go, and in no way blamed Kim personally for the dog’s behavior, Kim was so angry with her sister over the Instagram photos that she just could not move forward.
Kyle Richards also said she never asked that her sister put Kingsley down after the incident because she knows how much Kim Richards loves the dog.
According to Radar Online, the dog bite was much more than Kim Richard’s claim that Alexia only had a “small bite on her finger.” Alexia actually left college and missed a year of her studies because of the attack. Kim has yet to admit to any responsibility for the dog’s attack.
